November 13th Lodge Meeting
A very enjoyable and informative meeting. We were joined by members of the Musket Pike and Drum Lodge No. 9906 and after a Calling-off we were giving and very interesting account of the Fall of the Alamo and it’s Masonic connections. The members of the Musket Pike and Drum Lodge attended in full uniform which definitely added to the atmosphere, with most of our members taking part.
The Newark Lodge held it’s annual Ladies Festival on Saturday 2nd November 2019 at Freemasons Hall, London Road Leicester. The evening as a great success with nearly 100 people attending.
The food, the service and the talented vocalist Rachael Ball made the evening so memorable for all.
W. Bro. Michael Vials, gave us his excellent rendition of the flower song and the Ladies Song. W. Bro. Tony Sibson toasted the ladies with delightful words and W. Bro. Dave Thornber kept the whole evening under “control”.
It was especially wonderful to see so many old acquaintances and their many guests enjoying themselves and the formality of a traditional Ladies Festival.
Unfortunately we never thought of taking photographs.
Our thanks to everyone for attending and being so generous to our chosen charity 2502 Hamilton Squadron Air Training Corps which with some donations raised over £600.
